**About this role**
We have a fantastic opportunity for a motivated** Transport Planner** to join our vibrant and enthusiastic group based in** Auckland**. You will be delivering high quality work, managing small scale projects and undertaking tasks in an autonomous manner.

**What will I do?**
- Generalist role to assist Transport Planning, Strategic Urban Planning, and Urban Design and Placemaking;
- Support a team of over 15 Auckland-based transport planners, urban planners and urban and landscape designers;
- Accountable for defined parts of planning and design projects, such as preparation of strategic plans and business case documents;
- Organise and prepare for client meetings, presentations and internal workshops; and
- Responsible for meeting deadlines set by colleagues and clients and assisting with project management roles on small projects.

**What will I bring?**
- Recognised tertiary qualifications in relevant planning or engineering field with relevant industry experience working as a Transport Planner;
- Experience in using engineering and design software such as AutoCAD, and competency in modelling packages is also desirable;
- MS Excel skills to enable effective processing of numerical data and other publicly available data sources and familiar with GIS/ Spatial analysis tools;
- Ability to communicate with people at all levels in both technical and non-technical environments; and
- Positively motivated and foster team spirit at times of significant pressure, including assisting others to meet deadlines and fantastic interpersonal skills.
