**The opportunity - Te tūranga**

As Senior Data Analyst, you will be responsible for delivering analytics and data science solutions that grow data driven decisions to support TVNZ's strategy. You will be expected to mentor analysts, liaise with business stakeholders and support the Head of Analytics in delivery of our analytics solutions and BI roadmap.

This role will be crucial in supporting the transformation of TVNZ's data and analytics capability and will help the development and implementation of a gold standard analytics practice.

**This is a fixed-term contract with a duration of nine months.**

**What We're Looking For - Tā mātou e kimi nei**:
To be successful in this role, we are looking for the following
- Advanced analytical and numerical reasoning with at least 4 years' experience with big data, developing analytics methodologies relating to consumer behaviour.
- Advanced Coding and B.I skills (SQL/ Python & PowerBI, familiarity with Databricks and Google Analytics preferred)
- Understanding and compliance of data governance and privacy principles.
- Highly skilled in database extraction and data manipulation
- Experience using or knowledge of Azure and Databricks
- Competence in effectively analysing, interpreting and communicating data & information.
- Effective time management skills and the ability to prioritise and manage workflows and resources.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to review one's own work to ensure it meets the needs of the stakeholder.
- Builds strong relationships and work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrate a high level of commitment and support for the company and team.
- Competent and confident presenter, able to defend ideas and recommendations.
- Interpret and explain complex concepts clearly and in an accessible manner, both in written and verbal form.
- Able to train and transfer knowledge to colleagues and team members.
- Be a mentor to more junior analysts, supporting them to advance their technical and analytics skills.
- Gain the confidence and trust and exhibit appropriate sensitivity to feelings of others.
- Demonstrate high levels of integrity and honesty.
