We are looking to fill three roles in the Data team
- Senior Data Analyst
- Data Analyst
- Assistant Data Analyst

The Senior Data Analyst designs, implements and manages processes for sourcing and producing quality data for stakeholders. With a passionate curiosity for data and a commitment to data quality, you will lead innovative thinking as to how quality can be achieved. Given this is a senior role, you will also help to coach and mentor those less experienced in the team to lift their data capabilities and champion best practices for data management.
The salary band for a Senior Data Analyst is $92,598 - $113,175 depending on skills and experience.
The Data Analyst is responsible for addressing data needs by acquiring data and information from a variety of sources, validating that data for accuracy, and remedying any inaccuracies. The Data Analyst must problem-solve data integrity issues, communicate well with stakeholders and deliver high quality data to deadlines.
The salary band for a Data Analyst is $67,859 - $82,939 depending on skills and experience.
The Assistant Data Analyst provides administrative and data management support for our collections. The Assistant Data Analyst is responsible for running regular data processes, resolving data quality issues and managing queries.
The salary band for an Assistant Data Analyst is $54,079 - $66,096 depending on skills and experience.

Mōhou ake | About you
We're looking for passionate data people wanting to work at the heart of education sector data collections and systems. With a background in data, you will enjoy working across the Ministry and external stakeholders to provide high quality and fit for purpose data and advice to support the Ministry's operational and research areas.
You are proactive and motivated to identify the root cause of data issues, provide solutions, and communicate findings in an understandable way. You will be an effective communicator, a conscientious team member who focuses on accuracy and seeing tasks through to completion, as well as an ability to manage your own work to meet often tight deadlines. We are looking for people who will enjoy contributing to the goals and functions of the team and, in doing so, collaborate effectively with both colleagues and external stakeholders.

**You will also**:

- have a relevant tertiary qualification, preferably in statistics, mathematics or computer science
- be experienced in manipulating data using SAS, SQL or equivalent (Senior Data Analyst and Data Analyst)
- be experienced in an administrative and or data management role (Assistant Data Analyst)
- have exceptional written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communication with a wide range of stakeholders
- be competent in using standard Microsoft Office products
