Senior Data Analyst - International Revenue Strategy

Mō te roopu - About the team
As part of the International Revenue Strategy team within the Customer Compliance Services - Business of Inland Revenue, we are looking for a Senior Data Analyst (Insight and Intelligence Specialist L2) to join us as we progress our exciting work programme.
Mō te tūnga - About the role
We are looking for a smart energetic person with strong analytical and relationship management skills to join our team as we further develop and refine our international compliance strategies especially in relation to base erosion and profit shifting impacting multinationals.
Mōu - About you
The successful applicant will be a confident communicator who is comfortable with producing high quality analysis and written material to meet the needs of a diverse group of users. You will be highly numerate with the ability to think laterally and logically. Tax knowledge and experience is desirable, but not necessary.

**You will have**:

- demonstrated experience in analytical capability coupled with the ability to clearly express core elements of an issue by extracting and interpreting data
- experience in contributing towards initiatives to develop solutions that deliver the right outcomes for customers
- strong written communication and critical thinking skills with the ability to articulate analysis and related recommendations clearly and succinctly for a variety of audiences
- general awareness of the NZ economic environment would be valuable, especially familiarity with and knowledge of multinational enterprises
- a background in international tax is desirable
- the ability to think strategically and laterally
- aptitude to learn and use various analytical systems and tools
- a strong work ethic with a can-do attitude, proven ability to meet deadlines and good relationship management skills.
