As a Liquor Licensing Inspector/Enforcement Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring that liquor licensing and noise control regulations are followed in the Timaru District. You'll be a key member of our team, working closely with the Chief Licensing Inspector and the Administration Officer Animal Control/Liquor Licensing to provide mutual support to each other.

In this role, you'll get to flex your communication and report writing skills as you prepare reports, letters, and other correspondence related to liquor licensing and noise control. You'll also have the opportunity to attend hearings and speak to submissions, making a real impact on the decisions that shape our community.

For this role, knowledge of the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012, as well as an understanding of the noise provisions in the Resource Management Act 1991 will be an advantage. You'll also need to be confident in having difficult conversations with customers and business owners to achieve compliance, and have excellent public relations skills to de-escalate volatile situations.

This position is a permanent full-time position offering 40 hours per week. The salary range for this position is per $53,931.00 - $63,448.00 per annum.
