Kahurangi Kindergarten Permanent Fulltime Head

The kindergarten is located in on the eastern side of Masterton. The families are predominately from the local area and are supportive of the kindergarten and the teaching team. Kahurangi caters for the diverse needs of families in the wider community due to the flexibility in hours children can be enrolled for. The kindergarten is well resourced both indoor and outdoor and environments are a key focus of the team.
We are licensed for 45 children who attend for 6 hours each day with including 5 children under 2 years of age. You will join our team of 7 other teachers.
We are looking for an ECE Teacher and Leader who demonstrates effective leadership through:
- designing and implementing culturally responsive approaches that reflect the diversity of the local community and Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
- leading responsively and inclusively, in ways that ensure that tamariki are at the heart of decisions, and where the diversity and uniqueness of each tamaiti and their whānau are recognised and valued.
- being a skilled communicator with excellent interpersonal skills, which underpin a clear focus on building and maintaining reciprocal learning-focused partnerships with tamariki, whānau, teaching team, support staff, other professionals and the local community
- their strategic thinking, and being adaptable and responsive to change
Duties to commence Term 3 or by negotiation.
