Fonterra Group Communications is accountable for delivering high quality and on-target communications, marketing campaigns and experiences, in support of Fonterra’s overall business strategy. As a business unit we are responsible for driving a wide range of initiatives that enhance and protect our Co-op’s reputation, as well as supporting the heart of our Co-op, our farmers.

**About the opportunity**

Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Linkedin, Youtube, Tik Tok.., in an environment with more competition, content and networks than ever, we are on the hunt for a Senior Social Media expert to help shape and govern how we use social media channels to uplift Fonterra’s online profile.

In collaboration with the Group Campaing and Communications Operations Manager, you will develop and implement Fonterra’s overarching social media strategy. Your remit will be to provide practical, hands-on community management, content creation and platform governance to enhance our reputation and engagement via social media platforms.

The Fonterra Communications Team is recognized as a very engaged, high performing and passionate team. Together they have transformed the way we engage with our internal and external stakeholders which is reflected across our Co-op's reputation metrics. As Senior Social Media Manager, you will add value to the team by providing digital thought leadership, supporting us to be successful across our digital channels and highlighting new trends, tools and functionality.

**About you**
We are looking for a savvy and passionate Social Media expert with the ability to really add value to our presence in this space. You have led a number of significant initiatives that have reset how a business communicates with its audiences and the impact is realised in business results.

You are known for the passion you have for your work, and your creativity and drive to do things differently but also your focus on delivering results that support positive outcomes for our Co-op.

We want someone that’s passionate about Fonterra and New Zealand agriculture. And needless to say, your communication skills - both written and verbal - are awesome and highly innovative as you will be engaging with a wide range of audiences. Fonterra is complex organisation, so if you have experience in navigating complexity.

You stay ahead of emerging trends and are comfortable thinking outside of the box, identifying innovative and targeted ways to fine tune our Social Media strategies.

You thrive in a highly collaborative team environment but also know how to work autonomously, rolling up your sleeves and getting stuck.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Solid background in Social Media Marketing with experience in a large organisation along with real passion and drive
- Prior management of several social media channels
- Demonstrated experience in SEO
- Strong written, verbal and digital communication skills
