Payroll & HR Administrator

Due to a staff member going on Maternity Leave, a full-time, fixed-term opportunity (15 months) exists to join our HR Team as a Payroll Administrator, located at our Head Office in Palmerston North.
We are looking for someone with Payroll Administration experience, great attention to detail and a willingness to learn. Due to the nature of this position, we need someone who is capable of handling sensitive information and keeping it highly confidential.
**Some of your responsibilities will include**:
- Processing monthly payroll for approximately 200 Toyota New Zealand employees
- Processing leave requests and managing Holiday pay accrual
- Assisting managers and staff with payroll and leave queries
- Preparing month end journals
- HR Administration including preparation of employment agreements, sending new employees welcome information and keeping staff details up to date across our systems
- Travel related administration, including assisting TNZ staff with booking travel through an online portal
- Various Reporting (Payroll, Staff Details, Travel)

- Experience in financial administration (preferably payroll)
- Competence using the MS Suite, with at least intermediate skills in excel
- Knowledge of the Holidays Act 2003 and other payroll related legislation (desired)
