Finance Administrator

New Plymouth Girls' High School is seeking a new Finance Administrator - Accounts Receivable to join our current administration team, ensuring the smooth running of our financial, payroll and administration systems.
We are looking for an efficient individual with meticulous attention to detail to provide accounts receivable and payroll processing.
Tasks and responsibilities:
• Processing hostel student finances.
• Monthly journals.
• Ensuring financial transactions are processed accurately and to reporting deadlines.
• Following up on overdue invoices.
• Managing staff payroll processing using EdPay.
• Reporting and reconciliation of pay.
• Providing support to the Business Manager.
Skills and Qualifications Required:
• A minimum of 5 years of accounts experience (using Xero or similar accounting software).
• An understanding of the month-end reporting cycle.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Excellent time management, planning skills, and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in the use of the Microsoft Office suite.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• An accounting qualification would be beneficial but not essential.
