We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Contract Manager to join our team in Wellington. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing specific operations within the department, ensuring that contract requirements are met, resources are used effectively, and target results are achieved.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Manage assigned contract to ensure performance meets customer expectations regarding quality and timelines.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, including special conditions and specifications, while manging variations effectively
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Ensure contract methodology, budgets, and programmes align with tendered outcomes, including margins, quality, and timelines.
- Identify and mitigate business risks, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and company standards.Promote a culture of Zero Harm through operational excellence and leading by example.

**Nga pūkenga matua | Important Skills**
- Tertiary qualification in engineering, project management, or a related field (or equivalent industry experience)
- BE or NZCE qualifications with 5+ years of project management/engineering experience
- Ability to interpret and leverage SOR/contract documents for optimal contract outcomes
- Understanding of financial and accounting processes, including preparation of progress and claim reports
- Strategic thinker with the ability to plan and execute long-term goals while addressing immediate operational needsStrong understanding of health, safety, and environmental standards, with a commitment to Zero Harm practices
