**The Opportunity**
As part of the APAC / IMEA leadership team, the GM of New Zealand Sales plays a pivotal role in leading the NZ team towards achieving maximum profitability and growth. Reporting to the Executive Vice President for APAC and IMEA this role ensures that all sales and operational support activities align with the company’s vision and values, focusing on developing plans and strategies to expand the customer base and capitalise on growth opportunities. You work collaboratively with internal and external teams to drive strategic initiatives and create lasting value for Gallagher.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and implementation of the NZ growth strategy to meet sales goals and profitability targets.
- Collaborate with marketing to create and implement a marketing strategy in support of sales.
- Promote a culture of strategic solution selling, leveraging leading-edge technology.
- Identify and mitigate strategic risks in the NZ market.
- Understand global trends and market conditions to adjust the regional strategy.
- Own the financial management of P&L for NZ, ensuring profitability and budget control.
- Inspire and empower a high-performing leadership team.
- Manage relationships with key channel partners, customers, and stakeholders.
- Drive innovation through the adoption of new ideas and industry trends.
- Contribute to the APAC / IMEA Leadership Team by sharing knowledge and collaborating across teams.
**The Fit**
We are looking for a motivated and experienced leader with a proven track record of driving business development and leading high-performance teams. The GM of New Zealand Sales is a forward-thinking professional who anticipates challenges and seizes opportunities.
This is a critical role that requires a strong understanding of the security system/IT environment, as well as the ability to foster relationships and drive organisational growth. If you are passionate about leading teams and shaping the future of security solutions, this is the ideal role for you.
To succeed in this role, you’ll also need:
- 10+ years of business development/sales experience in the security systems/IT industry.
- A track record of leading high-performing sales teams and managing dealer/distributor relationships.
- Strong relationship management, collaboration, and negotiation skills.
- Expertise in solution selling, with an ability to grasp and communicate complex technical concepts.
- An analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make strategic recommendations.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- The ability to innovate and drive change in a fast-paced environment.
