Farro, Auckland's inspirational fresh food market, is looking for a driven GM Marketing to join our growing business.

At Farro, we're obsessed with opening Kiwis' eyes and mouths to unbelievably, deliciously amazing food. We do it for the benefit of our customers, to support our talented local producers and to work together to make a positive impact on our community, and the wider food eco-system. Farro has eight food stores across Auckland and delivers around the nation.

Reporting to the CEO, this is a rare opportunity to join the leadership team of an iconic New Zealand brand in an exciting period of growth. A perfect fit for a food-lover who thrives on the pace of retail. As GM Marketing you will need to:

Champion the voice of the customer across the Farro business.

Lead the Marketing and E-Commerce teams to drive new customer acquisition, retention, and frequency of customer visits, both instore and online.

Lead the Customer Care team to deliver outstanding customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategy and Planning: Develop the marketing strategy and lead development of the annual Marketing Plan to drive sales growth and deliver sales to budget.
  2. Executive Team Leadership: As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, contribute to the development of the company strategy, lead strategic projects, and exhibit leadership behaviours that support the Farro Values.
  3. Brand & Content: Lead the brand and content team to develop campaign, website, and store content and collateral.
  4. E-Commerce: Lead the Digital & E-Commerce team in running the E-Commerce channel to optimise customer experience, and drive revenue and profit growth.
  5. Digital & Email Marketing: Develop and implement the paid digital and social media strategy and campaigns, growing revenue both instore and online. Develop, deploy, and optimise email marketing and automation programmes to acquire, reactivate, and retain customers, growing revenue and enhancing engagement.
  6. Friends of Farro: Lead the development and management of our loyalty programme. Grow the customer database, driving engagement and frequency of purchase.

What We're Looking For:

  1. Relevant previous experience at an executive management level.
  2. Previous experience leading a marketing team.
  3. Previous retail and E-Commerce experience.
  4. A strong strategic and commercial thinker alongside being tactical with implementation.
  5. Excellent people and communication skills to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  6. A passion for good food and a commitment to maintaining a customer-centric culture.
