He angitūtanga | The opportunity
The Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority (EECA) is a Crown Entity whose purpose is to mobilise New Zealanders to be world leaders in clean and clever energy use. In order to get there, our strategic objectives are:

- Energy efficiency first
- Empower energy users
- Accelerate renewable energy

The “Regional Energy Transition Accelerator” (RETA) programme is all about understanding region-specific barriers and opportunities that can be addressed to accelerate clean and clever energy use and optimise energy systems at a regional level. This involves working across medium to large processing business, electricity and bioenergy fuel supply chains, and engagement with regional stakeholders to increase collaboration and accelerate action within each region
The RETA Programme Advisor role will support the development of information and resources for each region, help facilitate collaboration across key stakeholders, businesses, and service providers. This includes the delivery of the current phase of the programme and contributing to the definition and delivery of future phased workstreams.

**To be successful in this role, you'll have**:

- Comprehensive knowledge of the energy industry, and demand and supply side dynamics
- An engineering qualification and ability to understand complex energy systems
- Proven commercial acumen and experience in stakeholder relationship management
- Experience distilling information to produce usable insights and identify tangible opportunities.
