Health Laboratories (CHL) is a busy diagnostic facility providing services to
inpatients and outpatients at Te Whatu Ora Waitaha (Canterbury). You will
be working for the largest medical laboratory within Te Waipounamu
Canterbury Health Laboratories is seeking a
dedicated and customer-focused Labline Call Centre Representative to join our
Pathology Reception and Registration Department. This is an exciting
opportunity to contribute to the delivery of high-quality healthcare services
to our valued clients.
This is a part time position required to work 15 to 25 hours per
week between 08:00 and 18:00 and Sat 0800 to 1300
In this

**role, you will be responsible for**:

- Provide a high-quality service

experience to clients through the Labline call centre.
- Utilize the laboratory information
system to register patients, add tests, and access results.
- Perform a variety of duties within the
assigned work area, ensuring accurate and timely communication of
information to the Section Head or Service Manager.
- Answer incoming telephone calls,
providing clients with laboratory results or other relevant information as
appropriate.
- Undertake additional duties as
reasonably directed by the Section Head or Service Manager.
- Work in a safe and healthy manner,
adhering to all safety protocols to prevent harm to oneself and others.
- Strive for quality within all tasks undertaken
to promote an environment of continuous quality improvement.
- Separate and process samples in

This

**role requires the following**:
Essential
- Previous customer call centre

experience essential.
- Customer focused communication,
articulate, clear and friendly style.
- Administrative experience with
attention to detail and accuracy.
- Complete discretion and
confidentiality (in accordance with the Privacy act)
- Organisational skills with the
ability to prioritise and multitask as the situation demands.
- Computer skills (Microsoft Office,
Word, Excel and Outlook) Desirable Personal Attributes
- Be client and patient focused and

committed to providing a high-quality service.
- Possess effective interpersonal
skills and be able to work as part of a team.
- Have effective written and oral
communication skills.
