As part of our News & Content Leadership team this role has responsibility for the development and successful delivery of our audience strategy deliver exceptional, digital-led content and experience for our viewers.

**The opportunity - Te tūranga**

In this key leadership role as GM Production Operations reporting to Chief News & Content Officer, you will be responsible for delivering production and operational excellence and supporting the development and delivery of our news and content strategy to deliver our audience strategic objectives. Includes responsibility for:

- Centralise our production capability with a focus on creating more content and reducing production costs and drive efficiency across News & Content Business Area
- Developing and producing internal productions that are aligned with TVNZ's content strategies, to enable us to deliver on our audience growth aspirations.
- Leadership of the Story Development and NCA Operations teams to deliver operational excellence
- Leadership of our Sports and Events strategy
- Managing the delivery of quality internal productions on time, on budget and against agreed targets and objectives.
- Provide leadership and production managerial support to EPs and producers across internal sports, events, local and NCA shows.
- Contribute to TVNZ's goal to be a sustainable business with positive EBITDAF.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

- Sophisticated internal and external stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- Proven ability to influence and lead teams in an environment of competing interests and limited resources.
- Proven leadership skills and demonstrated ability leading large teams.
- Demonstrated commercial and financial production management skills and experience.
- Deep and broad knowledge of local and international media, including sport.
- Operational experience in the overall management of content production, including sports content.
- Track record in developing successful proposals for external funding agencies and business cases for commercially funded content.
