**The role**
- The General Manager Product role provides strategic, commercial and technical oversight to ensure alignment with Xero’s overall strategy whilst driving the execution of key projects globally.

You’ll be leading our product teams who are focused on unlocking the potential of millions of US and Canada based small businesses & their advisors, by making tax trusted, seamless and insightful.

You'll be directly responsible for multiple AU and NZ based product teams working in this area and influencing the direction of many other teams across Xero to achieve the right customer outcomes.

Based in either Auckland, Wellington or Melbourne and reporting to the Executive GM Product you will drive and continue to develop a product strategy and roadmap with other key stakeholders to meet Xero’s objectives and then transform product ideas into concepts, timelines and projects and have accountability for their commercial success.

This is a senior role within the business and as such, you will have a shared responsibility to cultivate a fun, rewarding and results-driven culture whilst attracting to build and retaining to grow the best talent to maintain your world-class team.

**About you**
- You’ll bring extensive experience in creating and growing modern software development teams using lean and Agile methods and will be able to draw on your experience building products at scale using cloud-based, modern architectures. You’ll be an excellent communicator and have a long history of successful relationship management to draw upon and leading leaders of product teams
