We have an exciting and newly created opportunity available to join our Albany, Auckland based Support Centre as an **Inbound Operations Lead.**
As an Inbound Operations Lead, you will be responsible for the end-to-end operational management and improvement of the Centralised Distribution Network. You will implement and enhance systems, standards, processes, methods and frameworks to drive transformational change, efficiency and productivity to the Mitre 10 Supply Chain, 3PL Distribution Centres and Stores.
**What You'll Deliver**:
- Assist the Supply Chain Programme Manager with the conversion of suppliers to the centralised distribution program.
- Take ownership of the supplier costing model and support the Supply Chain Programme Manager with supplier negotiation.
- Maintain and enhance the recovery model for centralised distribution in conjunction with the Supply Chain Programme Manager & Finance team to measure and validate Supply Chain efficiencies.
- Work with the Logistics Manager and 3PL carriers to optimise full truck loads and direct deliveries to stores.
- Work with 3PL Transport & Distribution Centres to drive operational efficiencies and system enhancements.
- Monitor and report on the performance of all service suppliers (e.g. transport) to ensure effective KPI’s are in place and regularly monitored.
- Provide reporting to the Logistics Manager and suppliers to drive improved performance.
- Work with the Distribution Manager to ensure that product is presented in the most freight efficient way so as to achieve safest, lowest practical cost per pallet (UOM) per store.
- In conjunction with the Supplier Performance Manager introduce key metrics and supplier performance reporting to measure all forms of the Inbound Operations process.
- Regularly meet with suppliers to manage performance and drive improvement
- Regularly visit stores to form and maintain strong relationships. Maintain strong relationships with the Merchandise and Trade teams.

**Core Capabilities You Need**:
- Strong leadership and communication skillset
- Excellent collaboration and a “team” player, understanding the strategic levers that generate the greatest output
- Ability to understand existing business processes and assist with efforts to re-engineer processes
- Learning agility, keeping skills up to date with industry trends and developments
- Strong financial background
- Business Intelligence (BI) tool exposure
- Tertiary qualified with an industry relevant degree, or possesses equivalent years of work experience.
