**The role**
Reporting to the Vegetation Manager, as a Customer Admin Support, you’ll be responsible for supporting the vegetation management program primarily through issuing notifications to vegetation owners and discussing required outcomes with external stakeholders including tree owners, District councils, property owners and Network approved contractors.
- Based in Whangarei you will also:
Provide administrative support to the wider Delivery team
- Generate customer notices while ensuring all details are accurate and clear
- Be the first point of contact for vegetation related queries
- Create reports on the vegetation programs performance and offer suggestions to improve efficiency and effectiveness
- Efficiently work in NP internal systems like ICP database and on software related to Customer Relations, Vegetation Management and Financial Management
- Track notifications to their conclusion and report on the effectiveness of the program

**About you**
Your “can do” attitude, mindset, and flair for initiative with adaptability will carry weight for success. You will be able to manage challenging situations in a calm, mature manner using appropriate conflict de-escalation methods. We’re looking for an individual who can demonstrate the following:
- Proven experience using Customer Relations Management systems, financial management software, SharePoint and raising POs
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel and Word and enthusiasm to learn new systems quickly
- Minimum 1 year experience working within a similar role
- Excellent communication skills ( verbal, written and listening)
- Confidence and diplomacy in managing challenging conversations especially with external stakeholders
- Ability to read and interpret legislation and relay it to customers in simple terms ( especially on Tree regulations)
- Strong interpersonal skills especially within a multi-cultural environment
- Knowledge of the electricity industry or vegetation management (advantageous)
- Experience in systems like Salesforce and Fulcrum will be beneficial
- Have an understanding of health and safety principles and practices, be a safety champion with the ability to intervene respectfully when unsafe practices are observed
- Enjoy working in a team environment, yet able to work self-directed
- High attention to detail with a strong aptitude for accuracy
- Tenacity in taking problems through to successful outcomes despite potential barriers
