Admin Clerk / Retail Assistant

Location: Whangarei Central

Type: Full-time (38 hours)

Hours: Tuesday - Friday 8.30am - 5.00pm, Saturday - 8.30am - 3.00pm

Are you organised, creative, and passionate about the fishing industry? We're looking for a motivated Admin Clerk / Retail Store Assistant to join our team and help keep things running smoothly — both behind the scenes and on the shop floor.

About the Role

This is a hands-on, varied position where no two days are the same. You'll assist with everything from admin tasks and product uploads to customer service and store presentation.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining and restocking retail shelves
  • Managing store email inboxes and assisting with customer enquiries
  • Creating and scheduling social media and marketing content
  • Uploading new products to the website and internal database
  • Taking and editing product photos for online listings
  • Entering and filing invoices and other administrative documents
  • Picking, packing, and shipping online orders
  • Producing in-store signage and updating product pricing
  • Assisting the team with daily operations and general store duties
About You

You'll be a reliable, detail-oriented team player who enjoys a mix of admin and hands-on work.

We're looking for someone who has:

  • Strong organisational and multitasking skills
  • A good eye for detail and presentation
  • Experienced in email and social media marketing, and content creation (Highly desirable)
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Meta Business Suite, Canva, Photoroom, Mailchimp)
  • Strong attention to detail and confident with bookkeeping.
  • Confidence engaging with customers and supporting the team
  • Must be willing to work Saturdays.

Experience in retail, e-commerce, or office administration is essential.
