**Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity**

As the steady state operator, AT has the ultimate responsibility for operating and maintaining the CRL infrastructure network and systems to connect seamlessly to the existing Auckland rail network.

The role will be responsible for overall operational planning and operations related liaison with major stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery and handover to operations of the CRL project. The purpose of the role is to provide leadership to the operations and maintenance activities leading to Day 1 of CRL.

The role oversees the testing and commissioning programme, the operational mobilisation of Auckland Transport and its operators, the successful mobilisation of the maintenance activities performed internally and by Downer. The role finally supports the rail safety certification duties of our contracted rail participants.

To be successful in this role, you will have at least 25 years' experience in rail infrastructure projects and transport operations in a high frequency, integrated transport network (rail infrastructure manager, transport authority, delivery entity, private sector supplier, operator).
- Relevant degree in transport, operations management or related field.
- Demonstrable experience with the mobilisation of new rail transport systems
- Experience with working in a multi-stakeholder environment.
- Excellent written and oral communication, consultation and negotiation skills.
- Highly organised - self-starter, plans and prioritises well and manages time to focus self and others on the most important activities.
- Personal resilience - able to sustain a high level of energy and positivity during times when the team, is under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work in a changing environment and seek opportunities to enhance service delivery.
