**About the Opportunity**:
Due to an internal secondment, a 1 year fixed term contract has become available to lead the Internal Audit team. Reporting to the CFO, you'll be responsible for providing high quality Internal Audit services and assurance to the business.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and delivering an internal audit plan
- Maintaining and delivering a rolling audit plan aligned to organisational risks
- Adapting and revising plans in response to changes in the risk environment
- Quarterly reporting of internal audit activities to the Audit and Risk Committee
- Leading a team of 2 Internal Auditors and helping them develop their skills
As the Internal Audit Manager, you'll have a continuous improvement mindset while upholding the company's values. With a team of 2 to nurture, this role is a great opportunity to grow your leadership skills.
**About You**:
To be successful in this contract, you'll need to be CA qualified or a Certified Internal Auditor to understand the levels of complexity. You'll also need:
- Public sector or large corporate organisation experience as a senior auditor (internal or external)
- Experience as an effective leader
- A strong understanding of internal audit principles and professional standards
- The ability to establish and maintain relationships at a senior management level
- Excellent problem solving and risk assessment skills
