The call for "Nothing about us, without us" is an integral part of our operation. **Mo te tunga | About the role**: - We're proud of the uniqueness of our workforce and are committed to creating people practices that support disabled employment and help foster a positive and inclusive workplace experience. - As the Principal Advisor People and Culture, you will work directly with the Manager, Corporate Services to provide key advice and day-to-day delivery of comprehensive human resource management services, including wellbeing, health and safety. - You will develop and maintain broad knowledge across all aspects of human resource management to ensure people practices support Whaikaha to achieve its strategic and operational objectives. - You will have strengths in both thinking and doing, with a well-developed understanding of the challenges and opportunities that small and diverse organisations present. **What you'll be doing**: - Identifying and implementing pragmatic people practices that best support the needs of our new Ministry and provide value for money. - Offering expert advice to guide HR, wellbeing, and health and safety practice. - Supporting your manager and the Senior Advisor with planning and prioritising, and team direction. - Providing technical HR expertise to projects and programmes of work. - Building strong relationships across all levels of the organisation. **Mou | About you**: You will have deep knowledge and experience of conducting generalist HR activities at a senior level in a small but diverse organisation. You have a proven track record of successfully developing and delivering strategic HR and business plans, that keep financial sustainability in mind. You have previous experience providing technical leadership and senior-level advice to others.
