Ibis Budget Auckland Central, located just off Queen Street in the heart of Auckland's CBD, is a hotel servicing a mixture of corporate and leisure short stay guests and long stay residents. With 144 comfortable rooms, featuring balconies and kitchenette facilities we are currently recruiting for a passionate and motivated individual to join our team as our Night Manager.

**Job Description**:
In this role, you will assume responsibility of the hotel overnight. This role is very hands on and involves all aspects of Front Desk operations and ensuring the safety of the hotel overnight. Key responsibilities include welcoming late arrivals, auditing the days' transactions, preparation of daily reports, attending to reservations and handling guest complaints and challenges.

Your duties will include:

- Effectively manage the daily reconciliation of the Hotels trading.
- Check and prepare reports and statistical information in accordance with service standards and auditing procedures during the night shift.
- Represent the Hotel Manager in their absence, holding responsibility for the smooth and efficient running of the Hotels overnight operation.
- Ensure maximum guest satisfaction as well as the safety and security of the property.

**Qualifications**:

- Relevant experience in the hotel industry.
- Ability to navigate through change and provide quick thinking solutions should problems arise
- Leadership qualities, with the ability to extend yourself to assisting your colleagues where needed, maintaining high levels of communication with other departments.
- Clear and confident communication skills - both written and verbal
