Kōrero mō te Tūranga - About the Role
We are looking for an Adviser to join our Official Information Act (OIA) team who are responsible for the management of the Ministry's OIA, Privacy Act, and Ombudsman correspondence.
In this role you will be preparing information and responses to requests for information for publication on MPI's website, within the requirements of organisational policy with consideration to relevant legislation. This includes coordinating contributions from across the organisation to ensure that responses are on-time, consistent and of high quality.
Mōu - About You
You will be an energetic self-starter with a reputation for working effectively across an organisation to get things done. Your good understanding of the machinery of Government, good written communication skills and sound judgement will ensure you can confidently provide advice to key decision-makers within the Ministry.
**To be successful in this role you will have**:

- Superior communication and writing skills
- Be able to work well under pressure and to tight timeframes
- Experience effectively multitasking and problem solving
- Government or administration experience.

We are a fun and fast-moving team at the forefront of our Government Services Directorate. Our mahi supports the Ministry and our Ministers' offices with responding to Official Information Act requests. We provide a supportive and inclusive environment that includes regular meetings, trainings and outings.
We are a team of 12 Advisers. Seniors and Principal all located in Wellington all working across a broad range of topics.
