Te tūranga - The roleThe Senior Adviser Government and Industry Relations will manage, monitor, and lead the preparation of responses to Ministerial correspondence, parliamentary questions, information for Select Committee and Official Information Act requests. This role will also be a mentor in the team and be a point of reference and/or advice in the absence of the Manager. In this role you will also have the opportunity to support the wider communications work of the Bank including, Korero - our speech programme as well as specific events.In this role you will work with a variety of stakeholders and areas across Te Pūtea Matua as a part of a collaborative and well experienced team. - Established experience as Senior Adviser in a similar role.
- Robust experience with and understanding of the machinery of government and the Official Information Act.
- Experience in a role within the financial sector, government or relevant public sector organisation is an advantage.
- Proven critical thinking skills and the ability to efficiently problem solve.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to adapt your communication to suit your audience and stakeholders.
- Effective stakeholder management and the ability to engage stakeholders.
