With a robust pipeline of projects, **GHD **is actively seeking a dynamic and accomplished **Senior Electrical Engineer **to join our team in **Christchurch **or **Wellington **.

In this role, you will provide high-quality electrical design solutions for both internal and external clients.

**The role**:

- Lead and assist with electrical and buildings services projects
- Work on project management, investigation, design and implementation of a range of projects involving electrical building services and multidisciplinary projects
- Provide guidance to junior design engineers on projects and be able to train and mentor them.
- Provide technical input and leadership to projects - Including review QA/QC of project deliverables as Job Manager
- Preparation of high-quality reports, correspondence and other deliverables
- Building services electrical design for lighting, security, emergency systems, data and power supply systems
- Provide external amenity and security lighting design. Road lighting expertise ideal.
- Liaise with client and site subcontractors and utilities providers.
- Provide data & communications infrastructure design.
- Assist with preparing expressions of interest and proposals and carry out other appropriate marketing initiatives.

**About you**:

- BE (Electrical) or other relevant tertiary education with at least 7+ year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
- Chartered status preferred
- Extensive experience across a range of project types including industrial, commercial, civic, and institutional projects
- Excellent working knowledge of the Australian and New Zealand Standards and Electrical Code of Practice
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Computer savvy and proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word, Power CAD, AGI32 (or Dialux), and Navisworks.
- Articulate, professional and self-confident.
- Strong analytical thinker; self-motivated and energetic
- Project/Client problem solving focus
- Focused on the delivery of high-quality output.
