H2R Technology are excited to working with this central government department as they change the way data is consumed within their business and the wider public sector.

This team has had a high degree of success over the past 2+ years-pulling information from a variety of sources and being able to present it to a wide audience across the public sector (including Ministers) during the height of the C-19 pandemic. They really illustrated what a strong data capability could be like and now they have plans to take over the world.

**Responsibilities**:
Working in the management and modelling space, you will be working with various internal business users to support the collection, storage and management of the data.
- Improve the storage, retrieval and use of data assets of structured, semi-structured and unstructured form
- Construct data sets that meet functional / non-functional business requirements, some of which are of a large, complex nature
- Identify and drive improvement of processes in automation, optimisation of delivery, scalability of data structures
- Advanced knowledge and experience working with various relational databases, proficiency in query authoring (SQL)
- Knowledge and experience building and optimizing data pipelines, data warehouses, data marts and data sets.

We’re looking for an experience data engineering professional, who has successfully led data projects in a large enterprise environment. Although we’re ideally looking for people with Azure cloud data warehousing experience, we’re also keen to chat to people with on-prem experience.

Due to the nature of these roles and the information you’ll have access to, you will need to have valid work rights for New Zealand. You might also need to obtain a NZ Security Clearance.
