Our company specialises in used cooking oil collection and is committed to delivering excellence in all aspects of our operations. We are currently seeking a highly motivated, physically fit Business Support Coordinator to oversee administrative functions and manage a team of drivers to ensure the efficient and timely collections. This position offers the opportunity to manage logistics, optimise routes, and provide hands-on leadership in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Establish efficient routes and transportation schedules for drivers
- Coordinate a team of drivers and on-site maintenance staff, including creating work schedules and ensuring task efficiency
- Oversee the entry, editing, and updating of information in internal systems for tracking deliveries and driver activity
- Schedule and monitor regular maintenance for all vehicles, ensuring readiness for delivery operations
- Manage vehicle repairs and replacements, including urgent jobs
- Oversee vehicle licensure and registration to ensure compliance
- Organise and lead sales training sessions for drivers to enhance customer service
- Monitor drivers to ensure adherence to scheduled routes and proper driving practices
- Assist in recruiting and ultimately train new drivers, ensuring they meet company standards and values
- Ensure compliance with all relevant occupational health and safety regulations
- Prepare and present reports on budgeting, scheduling, maintenance, and fleet progress to management
- Develop strategies to improve cost-efficiency and operational effectiveness
- Address customer or team problems, providing timely solutions and conveying necessary information
- Prioritise tasks according to urgency, ensuring that operational demands are met efficiently
- Physically fit and capable of overseeing active, hands-on tasks with drivers and vehicles
- Strong organisational skills with a keen ability to prioritise multiple responsibilities
- Excellent communication skills, with experience managing teams and communicating with customers
- Ability to handle a variety of tasks, including scheduling, vehicle maintenance, and personnel management
- Knowledge of transportation routes, vehicle maintenance, and licensing procedures is highly preferred
- Previous experience in hands on logistics and operations support role is required - 1 years minimum
- Ability to provide induction and training to drivers is a must, previous experience required - 6 months minimum
- Proficiency in using internal computer systems to manage schedules, budgets, and fleet information
