**Job Description**:
**Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity**
Student and Academic Services is looking to appoint a fixed term Academic Programmes Team Leader to provide operational team leadership to support the academic amendment and Calendar production processes.
This role will cover a period of secondment and will be based on the City Campus.
The Academic Programmes Team Leader will:
- Provide leadership for a team of 3 direct reports.
- Provide expertise and specialised knowledge to support academic leaders and other staff in the development and approval of high-quality proposals and documents.
- Review proposals and documents against criteria to ensure they meet requirements and expectations for quality and liaise with relevant staff to address concerns.
- Coordinate University-wide activities relating to quality, including proactively investigating and monitoring the compliance of programmes and courses against specific criteria.
- Oversee the development and publication of the University Calendar.
- Actively protect, participate, and promote the University’s commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
The salary range for this role is $66,600-$82,200 per annum depending on experience and qualifications. This is a full time, 37.5 hours per week, fixed term role for 8 months.

You will demonstrate:
- Proven leadership or management experience within a large complex organisation.
- Proven experience in working with detailed and complex documents.
- An understanding of the tertiary education environment and in particular curriculum development and review.
- Proven experience in building and maintaining relationships and the ability to work in partnership with others.
- Experience with contributing to process improvement and looking for continuous improvement opportunities
- Ability to navigate and negotiate online systems
- Proven problem solving and analytical skills
- A well-organised and systematic approach to work
- Attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, including written English
- Knowledge of and commitment to the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
