Government House is the DPMC business unit that manages the overall running of Government House to ensure effective support of the Governor-General, including planning and organising all official engagements and functions, and ensuring that the Governor-General is well supported in all settings.
Mō tēnei tūranga mahi | About this role
We are seeking a Team Leader with deep experience delivering events and arranging travel and engagement programmes for high profile stakeholders and occasions. This is a hands-on events and leadership position, with a strong emphasis on collaboration, creativity, and agility. As part of the Government House team, you will help plan and deliver a wide and varied programme of events that support the Governor-General's strategic priorities and consitutional and ceremonial duties.
Ko wai koe | About you
- Significant proven experience in the planning and delivery of high profile visits, functions, and events.
- Excellent logístical and project management capabilities.
- Experience developing workplans, managing resources, and improving service provision and processes.
- Experience operating in Auckland and throughout New Zealand.
- Experience working closely with high profile office holders and stakeholders.
- Flexibility and comfort with change, and an ability to find solutions to challenges at short notice and under pressure.
- A commitment to providing leadership that supports high staff engagement and a cohesive, respectful, and resilient organisational culture.
**Key responsibilities of this role**:
- Leadership and day-to-day management of the Programme Team;
- Efficient and effective delivery of all internal and external events in the Governor-General's programme;
- A collaborative and creative approach to programme development and delivery, which supports the Governor-General's strategic priorities and the objectives of Government House;
- Advice to the Manager, Engagement and Events on programme development, risk management, and operational matters;
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, and the building and maintaining of a network of relationships that support the delivery of the programme.
**Please note**: The ability to travel between Wellington and Auckland, and when requested to other regions, is a requirement of this position.

A competitive salary range of $90,000 - $110,000 p/a (including Kiwi Saver contributions)
