**About the role**:
As the Programme Leader, you will be responsible for the leadership and successful operations of the Health and Wellbeing programmes and teaching team at NZTC.
In this role, you will lead a small team of motivated specialist lecturers to inspire and guide students in the Health and Wellbeing sector. In addition to the leadership responsibilities, the successful applicant will have teaching duties to assist students in completing their New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing across Levels 2, 3, and 4.
Teaching will be conducted via our NZTC Online platform where you will facilitate online-based teaching and learning, wherein you will have the opportunity to share your knowledge with our students. This component of the role will be intensely computer-based work through online teaching and marking of assessments.
The Programme Leader will also play a key role in engaging, building and managing industry relationships such as care facilities and providers. Thus, local and regional travel may be required on occasion to meet with industry and visit students.
**About you**:
With a strong professional background in healthcare, you will have strong knowledge of and a passion to make a meaningful contribution to the health and wellbeing sector in Aotearoa New Zealand.**You will have great relationship management skills and be able to leverage your industry networks for the benefit of the students.
**Key Requirements**:
- Proven background in healthcare, ideally with strong experience in a managerial/leadership position
- An appropriate qualification at a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a Health / Wellbeing related field
- Strong computer literacy
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Previous teaching experience highly advantageous
- Full New Zealand driver license
