This position plays a key risk leadership role ensuring BNZ’s strategic programs to transform the bank are delivered safely with appropriate risk management mitigations and change risk considerations. Success for the programs is to ensure new processes and systems deliver great outcomes to our customers that are compliant with all relevant legislation, with implemented processes that are efficient and modern for Bankers to complete. Mō te Tūranga | About the Role We sat down with our Divisional Risk Partner, and he let us know the following about the role. What are some day to day tasks the person in this role will complete?- Lead and partner with the Customer360/nCino (credit origination platform) and future strategic program leadership teams to ensure strategic programs are delivered safely and securely in line with all group risk management requirements and transformation program best practices.- Partner with the programs to ensure risk readiness steps are completed for all releases.- Support the teams on each program to ensure deliverables and milestones are achieved in line with definition of done, including independent review against milestone acceptance criteria, and govern program delivery risk registers and support any actions required to resolve any program delivery risks.- Manage program risk considerations in line with group policy (e.g, GRACE objects, Change Initiatives, Delivered Impact Assessments, Findings and Treatments, coordination of ICS assessment outcomes, manage Privacy assessments etc).- Ensure strategic programs are delivered in line with enterprise Risk strategic direction. Ensure strategic platforms are risk optimised to delivery sustainable uplift to bank strategic outcomes.- Define target state strategy for compliance in line with compliance best practice, and complete obligation level assurance that solutions are designed to compliance best practices, identifying any delta and support backlog delivery and continuous improvement for compliance. This position plays a core risk leadership role in the context of risk management for the delivery of one of the Bank’s core strategic programs. This role is pivotal to providing assurance that the Bank’s strategic programs (initially c360/nCino) are delivered as required through program risk leadership, leading risk resources embedded within the Bank’s strategic programs, managing risk transformation and ensuring there are compliant by design processes/systems. What is the most exciting thing about this opportunity? You will initially be leading from a risk perspective BNZ’s key strategic programs of work to transform the credit origination platforms. This work requires direct engagement with all parts of the Bank; for example Technology, Product, Credit Risk, Finance, Data, Distribution to ensure the platform integrations are landing as expected and risks are uncovered and addressed. These programmes of work provide an exciting opportunity for a person to further their understanding of the Banking infrastructure and functions.
