Due to increased workload and continued expansion, our client Drillcore are looking to expand their drilling team to service their clients throughout the Central North Island. Working with crews operating and off-siding rigs, the role offers the opportunity to work with machinery including:

- Tractor Mounted Drill Rig
- Track Mounted Sonic/Rotary Rig
- Track Mounted CPT Rigs
- 8 Tonne Excavator

Offering a minimum of 37.5 hours per week, this is a unique role providing plenty of variety, including:

- Geotechnical and environmental investigations
- Solid and hollow flight auguring, rotary mud drilling, rotary coring, and sonic drilling
- In-Situ testing, standard penetration tests and push tube sampling
- CPT rig operation to conduct cone penetration tests
- General maintenance
- Daily rig pre-start checks
- Preparation of daily drill records

**What do we need from you?**
Although this is a niche area that requires specialist skills to work in, Drillcore are looking for character over experience. They are looking for a driven individual looking for a structured and rewarding career.
- Strong communication skills
- The ability to problem solve
- A Class 2 drivers licence, if you hold your Class 4, even better
- Some experience in Rotary Drilling, Sonic Drilling or CPT testing or have experience working in the construction industry
- The ability at times to work away from home and work weekends (project specific)

If you have a construction background, are switched on about health and safety, have initiative and willing to work hard, our client is open to providing industry specific training.
