**About the role**:
- As Senior SMB Marketing Manager - NZ, you’ll create, execute and manage the NZ small business marketing plan ensuring it’s aligned to NZ sales targets and be responsible for implementing GTM strategies and campaigns which generate market share and revenue growth. You will lead, control and report on all marketing activities in your remit including collaborating with external and internal agencies to deliver on our goals.
You will lead brand product marketing and growth activities (in conjunction with Product Marketing) for small businesses in NZ ensuring that we are growing our revenue and engagement with each client.
**Some of the things you’ll do**:
- Develop the SMB strategic marketing plan in consultation with key stakeholders and the NZ partner marketing lead
- Implement go-to-market strategies and tactical marketing campaigns
- Lead our direct sales channel and take ownership of the NZ direct funnel and work with global teams to delivery increases that result in growth
- Lead our data-driven approach to engaging with SMBs to increase product utilisation
- Lead our regional digital and product marketing activity for SMB in consultation with the partner marketing lead
- Brief in-house agency and marketing specialists as required
- Source and brief agencies/partnerships as needed to deliver SMB go-to-market campaigns and programs
- Ensure collaboration with partner marketing lead and wider team
- Consult and build relationships with the small business team, product development and global product marketing
- Monitor competitor activity and keep informed on trends, innovations, and changes that affect and impact activity plans.
- Contribute to leadership of team, mentoring junior team members and helping the NZ - Marketing team with its ambition to be the most efficient/effective marketing team within Xero.

- Significant strategic marketing experience (10+ years) including implementing campaigns and creating effective marcomms, specifically with a focus on B2BConfidence dealing with digital funnels, data and marketing automation
- Experience creating GTM strategies to launch new partnerships and solutions
- Significant experience of xsell and upsell marketing campaigns to existing customers.
