**The Central Interceptor is a wastewater tunnel that will run between the Mangere Wastewater Treatment Plant and Grey Lynn. The 14.7-kilometre-long tunnel will run between 15 and 110 metres below ground. It will cross the Manukau Harbour at about 15 metres under the seabed. Along the route, it will connect to the existing wastewater network, which will divert flows and overflows into the tunnel.**
**What you will be doing**:
The Supply Chain Assistant works closely with the Procurement Manager assisting in data analysis, risk management, supplier management, and policy review.
**Key Responsibilities**:
Some of the things you may get involved with but may not be limited to the following
- Collect and analyse supply chain data, such as purchase orders, stats, lead times, and demand patterns.
- Prepare reports and presentations based on data analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of supply chain analytics tools and systems.
- JD Edwards assistance and support to the construction team
- Assist in assessing and managing risks within the supply chain, including identifying potential disruptions and developing mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement risk management initiatives and contingency plans.
- Maintain supplier databases, records, and contracts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Support the procurement process, including supplier selection, evaluation, and negotiation.
- Foster strong relationships with suppliers, addressing any issues or concerns promptly.
- Act as a liaison between the supply chain department and other internal stakeholders, facilitating effective communication and information sharing.
- Experience working in procurement or logistics or warehousing role
- Proven supplier management and negotiation skills
- Experience working in a commercial environment
- Proficient in MS Office suite
- Relevant tertiary qualification preferred
