We are a large diverse organisation, with a strong community focus, and our complex and dynamic organisation is looking for a seasoned OD Manager to drive the development of a capable, engaged, enabled and energised workforce that is aligned and able to deliver the vision, goals, values and agreed priorities of the Christchurch City Council.

Reporting to the Head of People & Culture and leading a small team, your role will focus on leading the continued development, support and implementation of key organisation wide initiatives to deliver on its long term plan such as the Leadership Capability Framework, Performance Management system, Leaders Forums, Digital learning and Learning Community.

With our ever-changing environment, this opportunity will also offer you the ability to look for innovative, outside of the box solutions that support continued growth of our people ensuring a fit for future workforce. This includes working with the Executive Leadership team, business leaders and HR colleagues to scope, develop and deliver OD solutions in line with our organisational development plan.

This important role in our organisation requires you to be future focussed, have practical and applied OD and leadership experience, have an appreciation for and commitment to progressing our cultural competence, coupled with a continuous improvement mind-set.

As a key advisor to the organisation, you will have confidence and credibility, strong influencing skills and an interest in coaching and mentoring others to achieve success.
