Civil & Environmental Engineering Cad Technician

**About the role**:
Are you motivated to contribute to improving environmental and infrastructure outcomes?

Are you excited about using geospatial and civil engineering software to manage and visualise designs in three-dimensions and create, manage and deliver drawing sets for civil and environmental construction projects?

As a CAD Technician in Morphum Environmental’s Engineering Design Team, you will be working alongside a dynamic and supportive group of engineering and science professionals on career-defining and nationally significant projects that provide real change to Aotearoa and Australia’s landscapes.

**In this role you will**:

- Prepare and develop detailed design drawings using BricsCAD and design tools such as 12D Model and ArcPro to support project outcomes.
- Undertake 3D modelling of surfaces, alignments and pipe networks using 12D Model and ArcPro.
- Prepare detailed drawings related to the design of water supplies, wastewater treatment and disposal systems, wetlands, streams, culverts and various other engineering design elements.
- Preparation of plan sets to include drawings and maps to be used for planning and construction.
- Utilise, manage and update or innovate CAD methods as required.

**About you**:
You will have a passion for problem-solving, thrive on a challenge and be committed to sustainable and environmental outcomes.
- Minimum of Bachelors Degree in Engineering Technology or similar. If not applicable then a relevant CAD Course with corresponding industry experience.
- Strong environmental values.
- Demonstrated 4 years of experience in civil engineering CAD technologies; producing 3D design and drawing sets.
- Knowledge of fundamental civil and environmental engineering principles, particularly concerning water.
- Proven experience in delivering pragmatic, quality outputs to deadlines within fast-paced environments.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Willing to engage in teaching and learning.
- Sound written and verbal communication and teamwork skills.
