Looking for a motivated person to join our diverse, enthusiastic and passionate team.
- Work on a range of exciting multidisciplinary projects across New Zealand and Australia.
- Roles from graduate to intermediate are available.
With significant changes coming to the water sector, we are looking for passionate, environmentally focused engineers to join us in the small waters team to deliver pragmatic, sustainable solutions that shape and co-create a more sustainable future.
**What is the role?**:
Providing specialist technical advice to our clients and team, you will have the opportunity to add value to a range of interesting and multidisciplinary projects. You will be involved in helping us solve the 'wicked' problems we are tasked with on a daily basis.
We are looking for like-minded people who are looking to grow their career and profile in environmental and civil engineering and join us to make a real and valued change.
This role will give you the opportunity to work closely with a range of clients to deliver onsite water and wastewater solutions. The significant change to legislation in Aotearoa has highlighted the importance of small water supplies and the risk these systems pose to community health and the environment.
You will have the opportunity to be at the forefront of these changes, and join a team with a track record for delivering high-quality and sustainable solutions.
From investigation to design, installation and commissioning, you will have the opportunity to be involved with all stages of these exciting projects. The role will allow you to get experience in all areas of the project phase with support from seniors and principals.
With plenty of fieldwork opportunities, you'll visit some of the most beautiful parts of Aotearoa and see your designs in action.
**About you**:
- Design of small waters infrastructure (Drinking water treatment systems, onsite wastewater treatment and disposal)
- Rural water supply design
- Reticulation design
- Resource consenting and compliance monitoring
- Engineering investigation, scoping, design and supervision
- Contract management.
You will be an excellent communicator with strong report writing skills and a high level of adaptability within a suite of software programs including GIS, CAD and EPANET.
Training will be available to upskill as needed. You'll have a basic understanding of the chemical, physical, and biological treatment of water and wastewater.
You'll have a passion for community resilience, protecting public health, and creating positive environmental outcomes.
New Zealand experience is a definite advantage including local government. You will be familiar with the changing legislation around three waters and new rules and regulations.
