We have a fixed term vacancy for a highly organised and motivated individual to work with the Directors as the **Publicity and Communication Coordinator** in the Centre for Co-Created Ageing Research (CCREATE-AGE) team. _Hīkina kia tutuki - rise to meet the challenge_

- At the Centre for Co-Created Ageing Research (CCREATE-AGE) we have a fixed term vacancy for a highly organised and motivated individual to work with the Directors as the **Research Operations C**oordinator: Communication and Publicity** This is an important role within a team that is developing a new transdisciplinary centre to deliver creative and innovative solutions to realise opportunities, needs, and concerns identified by older people, to improve health, wellbeing and human flourishing.
- As the CCREATE-AGE Research Operations Coordinator: Communication and Publicity you will work closed with the transdisciplinary team of academics, external stakeholders and the public - unlocking human potential by giving older people, researchers and other stakeholders the opportunity to co-create world-class ageing research.
- CCREATE-AGE has a strong focus on tackling ageism and addressing inequity.
- A clear understanding of the Treaty of Waitangi and our obligations together with understanding diverse Pasifika communities are essential in order to walk alongside Māori and Pacific communities as equitable partners. As the lead for the CCREATE-AGE Communication and Publicity group, your work will be guided by kotahitanga, fostering inclusivity that is respectful of the diversity of older people and the communities to which they belong. A good knowledge or experience of co-creation, participatory methods or public involvement will be valuable.
- The CCREATE-AGE Research Operations Coordinator: Communication and Publicity, will lead a _Communication and Publicity Group _comprising academics, older people, and external stakeholders. With the working group, the postholder will co-create and implement a _Communication and Publicity_ strategy.
- This position is fixed term 0.2 FTE until Jan 2026, with a potential to extend for a further two years on mutual agreement between employee and Directors.
This is a part-time (7.5 hours per week) role, fixed term until January 2026 opportunity
Remuneration: $66,600 - $82,200 per annum pro rata dependent on experience

**He kōrero mōu | About you**
You will have a strong track record in media, communications, marketing or publicity. Experience working to develop and/or implement media, marketing or publicity strategies using a diverse range of marketing and advertising activities across print, the web and digital media will be essential. You will understand the use of strengths-based narratives which highlight human potential, particularly as it relates to age and ethnicity.
You will have an ability to engage at all levels which will include senior management, academia, government providers and community stakeholders. A commitment to equity and the ability to work alongside older people in our community of co-creators is essential.
