Nā Puoro, ko taurikura / Music transforms us
The Raukatauri Music Therapy Trust, Aotearoa's principal provider of Music Therapy services since our founding in 2004, is looking for a Grants and Fundraising Coordinator. Having been established as a charity we are able to subsidise the price of all our services, only made possible through fundraising.
This role is responsible for our fundraising portfolio (with oversight and support from the General Manager). The main area of focus is grant funding and the successful candidate would need to be comfortable with all related duties – identifying grants and overseeing grant timelines, writing applications, lodging applications via various portals, right through to managing and submitting accountability reports. This is a hands-on task, requiring creative writing, attention to detail, excellent time management, and strong IT skills. Grants account for 65% of our fundraising revenue so would be a key focus.
Raukatauri also raises funds through donor programmes, corporate sponsorships and fundraising events, which this role would look after, using our donor database system which they would maintain. In addition, they would have some involvement with our marketing strategy, especially social media, in collaboration with the General Manager.
The ideal candidate will be organised, highly motivated, with strong written skills and initiative. Someone passionate about music and the communities in which we work would be a bonus
Hours per week: 32. However this can be negotiated above or below to suit the right candidate.
Role would commence in the early February, but can start sooner as needed. Interviews ideally taking place mid December.
Advertising closes: Tuesday 9th December
