We are searching for a results-driven leader who is enthusiastic about environmental protection, strategic growth, and developing high-performing teams to head our Rural Division. This division specialises in safeguarding Aotearoa New Zealand's native species and ecosystems through innovative biosecurity, vertebrate pest, and plant management solutions.
As the National Rural Manager, you will play a vital role in providing day-to-day commercial leadership across all business units, achieving financial and non-financial goals, and collaborating with the Rural and wider NZ leadership teams to develop and implement strategies that promote environmental sustainability and business growth.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Drive strategic growth for the rural division across NZ & Pacific.
- Identify and capitalise on new business opportunities.
- Build strong, lasting relationships with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Lead and submit high-impact tenders to achieve business goals.
- Cultivate a high-performing, collaborative team culture.
- Equip your team with the skills and resources needed to thrive.
- Manage budgets and financial performance to hit profitability targets.
- Streamline project management for greater efficiency and success.
- Oversee pricing, tendering, and invoicing to meet financial objectives.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and regulatory standards.
**What We’re Looking For**:
- 5+ years of business leadership experience with P&L responsibility.
- Strong background in scaling operations and financial management.
- Expertise in project management, optimising capital, and improving profit margins.
- Proven ability to lead large teams, including remote staff.
- Excellent relationship-building and influencing skills.
- Strong communicator with solid negotiation and problem-solving abilities.
- Resilient under pressure, able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of pest management (ground and aerial operations) is a plus.
