Te tūranga - The role Our network security initiative has led to the creation of a dedicated networks team. Tasked with reviewing and remediating existing network issues whilst building out new, robust network infrastructure with a balance of security, resilience and performance is all part and parcel of what this critical team do on a daily basis. The Senior System Engineer - Networks and Security is responsible for the support, maintenance, design and continuous improvement of all Networks and Security infrastructure while ensuring availability, resilience and reduced exposure to security threats. Please review the position descriptions for this role here. Ō pūkenga - About you To be successful in either of these roles, you will bring:

- 5+ years demonstrable experience in enterprise network engineering, risk & security.
- The ability to take ownership, prioritise and manage your individual work area and meet agreed deadlines.
- The aptitude to proactively engage with the team and wider stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of current initiatives and projects.
- A sound understanding of industry best practices including enterprise change processes, security and task prioritisation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including clear, concise reporting and documentation.
- Requisite technical skills including; management and maintenance of standard network devices, firewalls, load balancers, inter-platform/cloud security, DDoS and vulnerability testing products.
