Within Corporate and Shared Services (CSS) IT, Technology Infrastructure focuses on the innovation and maintenance of the IT infrastructure on which our managed central agencies rely.

Technology Infrastructure has an opportunity for a Senior Systems Engineer to join our team on a permanent basis. The primary focus of this role is to manage, maintain and develop the CSS platforms (virtual and public cloud) to enable our agencies to meet their strategic priorities.

Kōrero mō te tūranga | About the Role

As an experienced Senior Systems Engineer, you will have strong skills with Infrastructure as code, Azure, 365 services, Orchestrator and SCCM. As well as server, storage and hypervisor management, there are elements of network management required as a part of the role. There are also opportunities to extend into other areas important to CSS, such as disaster recovery, business continuity planning, and security.

To be considered for this role you should have good technical, communication and interpersonal skills, with your experience ideally supported by relevant industry certifications:

- In-depth experience with Infrastructure as code
- In-depth experience with Azure
- In-depth experience with Office 365 services
- Experience with SQL
- Experience with VMware

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A computer science or ICT related university degree or equivalent industry qualifications or experience
