Senior Systems Engineer, focus on Middleware, paying up to $117k, hybrid working. Based in CBD.

**Your new role**
As a Senior Systems Engineer, your role will focus on Middleware via environments management to improve the Software development lifecycle, ensuring they are support, refreshed and maintained and taking the lead with projects around environment requirements, design and build.

**Full Duties include**:

- Have operational input into the architecture and design of the CI solutions (Jenkins, Ansible or any associated toolsets).
- Management and configuration of CI servers including configuration of template CI jobs, documentation, static analysis and reporting.
- Monitor and resolve environment and build related failures.
- Conduct failure analysis.
- Raise escalations and work with development through to resolution.
- Conduct the creation, build and management of development, test, and preproduction environments.
- Provide reports on usage/utilisation, availability, forward planning and schedules.
- Working with various IS teams to ensure the right hardware, software and configuration is in place to support effective development, testing and release activities.
- Assist in the maintenance of third party toolsets used by IS.
- Deputise for Systems Team Leader where required Perform other duties as required from time to time as directed by the Team Leader Systems.

**What you'll need to succeed**

**Additionally, the following is required**:

- Ability to analyse key business requirements and work to formulate and deliver appropriate solutions around set timeframes and dependencies
- Strong skills in managing Windows and Linux server operating systems and virtualisation technologies
- Excellent skills in technical writing and developing documentation
- Ability to mentor junior staff Strong organisational skills Calm under pressure Sound written and verbal communication skills and reporting ability

**Desirable**:

- Certifications in Java/JBoss or similar ITIL Foundation Certified
