**Part Time Duty Manager - New World Ilam**

We have an opportunity to join our fantastic team at New World Ilam as a Duty Manager.

The Duty Manager is responsible for the supervision of the store, leadership of the grocery team and ensuring consistent stock presentation during the afternoon until closing. A Liquor Licence (Manager's Certificate) for the sale of liquor is preferred but not essential, your eligibility to obtain a Manager's Certificate is required. Supermarket experience would be advantageous.

**The key tasks for this role are**:

- Ensuring all departments maintain appropriate store display standards
- Providing high quality customer service to our valued customers
- Organisation of the grocery team and storeroom
- Maintaining stock levels in the grocery department
- Undertake necessary administrative functions of the role
- Maintain health and safety and food safety standards

**The successful applicant will ideally be able to demonstrate**:

- Team leadership experience
- Proven supervisory experience and the ability to manage a team
- Effective communication skills
- Flexibility
- A strong work ethic and the ability to cope well under pressure
- A forklift licence or the ability to obtain a licence

This is a part time permanent position working Sunday and Monday 1.45pm-10.15pm (16 hours).

Overseas applicants must hold New Zealand Citizenship, New Zealand Permanent Residency or a Valid New Zealand Work Permit.
