**About the role**

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Duty Manager to join our team at Queenstown Ice Bar. The Duty Manager will play a vital role in upholding the premium experience of the bar and the company. You will lead the team on shift, ensuring that host responsibilities and liquor licensing laws are adhered to while providing exceptional service to our guests.

**Responsibilities**:

- Lead the team on shift, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth operation of the bar.
- Uphold the premium experience of Queenstown Ice Bar by ensuring high standards of service and presentation at all times.
- Ensure compliance with host responsibility and liquor licensing laws, maintaining a safe and enjoyable environment for guests and staff.
- Oversee bar operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and stock management.
- Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints in a professional and timely manner.
- Support the Site Manager with staff training and development to enhance team performance and service standards.

**What we are looking for**:

- Liquor Controller Qualification (LCQ) or Manager's Certificate is preferred.
- Previous experience in a Duty Manager or Team Leader role within the hospitality industry.
- Strong knowledge of host responsibility and liquor licensing laws.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to handle challenging situations with professionalism and tact.
- Attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
