We have an exciting new role leading multiple development squads to achieve strategic outcomes at pace, whilst operating within budget and risk appetite.

You will work with the CTO, Software Development Managers, Chief of Product, and wider leadership team. As a member of the Engineering Leadership Team, you will balance accountability for your functional area with a strong contribution to the leadership and ongoing capability build of the broader engineering team.

You will build and deliver a technology roadmap for your line of business that balances the timely delivery of new products to market, with the operational focus to ensure solutions are sustainable and resilient.

The transportation sector is going through a significant amount of disruption presenting opportunity and uncertainty. The Development Director is comfortable dealing with ambiguity, whilst providing clarity of vision to the teams they are leading.

You will lead our Devices Pillar and will enable our customers to monitor and manage millions of connected devices.

**Requirements**:

- Experience leading hardware, IoT and Connected Device technology
- Skilled builder of strong teams who can assess, mentor, motivate and retain top talent
- Entrepreneurial personality with a finesse for technology
- Intense desire to “win” in Digital
- Proven leadership and communication skills
- Skilled influencer and facilitator with ability to promote and describe IoT benefits, direction and capabilities
- Able to break down complex problems into clear needs and then engineer compelling solutions that support the business
- Ability to work collaboratively with others and navigate complex decision making
- Experience with different aspects of IoT functionality, such as connectivity, security, provisioning, device management, data ingestion, real-time processing, analytics, edge and end devices, data off-loading, and integration with external systems including IAM, BI, AI/ML, billing and CRM
- Thrive on change and continuous improvement
