You'll work closely with brokers, insureds, and other stakeholders to investigate and resolve claims in a timely manner. As a Property Claims Examiner, you'll be responsible for:

  • Managing a portfolio of property claims in accordance with Chubb's best practice guidelines
  • Ensuring that claims are proactively managed and kept up to date through the use of internal workflow management systems
  • Setting and maintaining loss reserves in line with Chubb's insurance guidelines
  • Recognizing and pursuing subrogation opportunities when applicable
  • Maintaining and building positive relationships with customers
  • Reviewing and escalating customer disputes
  • Supporting underwriting teams in marketing efforts by representing the claims product and its performance
  • Completing Large Claim Summaries (LCS) for losses that meet LCS criteria and publishing them to relevant distribution lists

With 1-3 years of property claims experience and a tertiary qualification, preferably in law, you'll have a solid understanding of insurance industry processes and claims procedures. Your strong customer service focus, problem-solving ability, and good written and oral communication skills will serve you well in this role.
