About the Role

At Department of Corrections NZ, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our Electronic Monitoring team as an Operations Adviser.

This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires excellent communication skills, critical thinking, and the ability to multitask. As an Operations Adviser, you will be responsible for liaising with the Police, developing workable solutions for individuals on electronic monitoring bail, and providing support and guidance to those in need.

The successful candidate will have experience in phone and email communications, strong computer literacy, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Shiftwork experience is also highly desirable, as this role involves working across various shifts, including mornings, afternoons, and nights.

Key Responsibilities

  • Liaise with the Police to resolve high-risk arrests and develop effective solutions for individuals on electronic monitoring bail
  • Provide support and guidance to individuals on electronic monitoring bail, addressing their welfare needs and resolving any issues that may arise
  • Work collaboratively with the Electronic Monitoring team to achieve shared goals and objectives
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, ensuring compliance with departmental procedures and protocols
