Job Title: Duty Manager - Hy International

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Duty Manager to join our team at Hy International in Auckland. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for leading our front-of-house and back-of-house teams to deliver exceptional customer service and drive sales and profits.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and manage the efficient working of our FOH and BOH teams, ensuring seamless service delivery and effective workload management.
  • Oversee staff compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
  • Work closely with staff to project future needs for kitchen supplies, goods, and cleaning products, ensuring optimal inventory levels.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory and supplies, ensuring efficient stock management.
  • Assist in hiring and training new employees, as well as the continuous training of existing staff, to ensure a high-performing team.
  • Respond promptly to customer complaints, resolving issues effectively and maintaining a positive customer experience.
  • Coordinate with team members to ensure customer satisfaction and implement company procedures to increase work efficiency.
  • Resolve staff grievances in collaboration with the Store Manager/Working Shareholder.
  • Coordinate with the Store Manager/Working Shareholder for daily operations and maintain accurate financial and administrative records.
Requirements:
  • A relevant Level 2 or 3 qualification or above, or 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Ability to coach and develop future leaders, resolve conflicts, and demonstrate continuous improvement.
  • Exceptional communication skills, strong decision-making ability, and a commitment to health and safety.
  • Excellent multitasking and time management skills, with a focus on delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
